Shale Columns

$40.00

Under the right conditions in the real world, vertical fractures in an otherwise horizontally bedded shale can carry enough groundwater to carve incisions into the rock, separating the shale into columns.  This is most common in humid environments, but can be found in one form or another pretty widely.  Here, we have modeled a shale outcrop where this process is just beginning.  Shale Columns measures 26 inches by 6 inches, with minimal relief of about a half inch.
